As part of the work of the project, we visit weekly the children of the rock assistance entity where we share with them lunch, bread, soup and fresh as well as leaving them a spiritual capsule for building their lives.
Continuing with the civic activities of the patriotic month, the weekend plan students also had their civic activities which were carried out on Sept. 14. Basic and high school students participated by maturity. Mainly there was the exhibition and sale of typical dishes of Guatemala. This activity ended the civic celebration of the College.
On September 12, 13 and 14, the second phase of our annual camp was held, this time with the high school students in Taxisco, Santa Rosa. In this camp the word of God was imparted in an original way through a drama. The central theme was the transformation and the word was exposed, exemplifying the following transformations: hate = love, selfishness = goodness, anger = peace, pride = humility, lies = honesty, fear = courage, sadness = joy, enmity = friendship, unbelief = faith. It has been a camp full of the presence of God; We are sure that a powerful seed was left in the hearts of young people.
Continuing with the civic activities that commemorate the independence of Guatemala, pre-primary and primary school students also had special activities that took place on September 12. Among the activities there was an exhibition and sale of typical food, election of Miss Independence, Sympathy and White Nun. We emphasize that in the election of Miss Sympathy there was a tie for what two girls were recognized with the prize.
On September 11 we again had the special visit of the students of the National School of Dramatic Arts. On this occasion they visited us in order to expose the drama “Children of Coffee” to the students of the daily work. It has been a very special presentation and we have exemplified the correct implementation of what was taught in the workshop of your previous visit. We thank you greatly for blessing us with your knowledge and talent.
To commemorate the independence of Guatemala, high school children with the valuable help of the music teacher presented a civic event called “los algodonales” for their primary school classmates. The civic act was held at the school premises.
Thank God, the aurora zoo and the “DICON” company support the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and elementary school students enjoyed a recreational day at the zoo. It was a very special activity for children who enjoyed a unique experience in the animal kingdom. We also appreciate the valuable support of the school’s teaching staff.
On September 5, we received the visit of the students of the National School of Dramatic Arts who taught the young people of the secondary school a daily workshop on drama and how to do it. It has been a very blessed activity full of learning.
